WORKING IN THE SCHOOLS (WITS) | 2025
First and second graders at John B. Drake Elementary in Bronzeville received an exciting visit from the NASCAR Chicago Street Race and its two-time winner, Shane van Gisbergen. This event marked the launch of a new partnership with WITS (Working in the Schools), a dynamic children's literacy nonprofit committed to empowering students with essential reading skills and a lifelong passion for learning.


DRIVE FOR SUCCESS | 2025
In partnership with Chicago Public Schools, the NASCAR Chicago team rewarded CPS students with two free tickets to the Chicago Street Race. Students qualified based on their strong academic performance, consistent attendance, positive behavior, and alignment with NASCAR's core values: Authentic, Courageous, Driven, Inclusive, and Stewarding.


CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS STEAM FEST | 2025
Chicago Public Schools, NASCAR Chicago Street Race, along with NASCAR Cup Series Driver Ryan Blaney, revved up excitement at the 3rd Annual STEAM Fest, brilliantly showcasing the connection between speed, science, and innovation in racing. More than 550 students from around the district got to see firsthand how physics, engineering, data analysis, and creative design work together on and off the track.

NASCAR welcomed 550 Chicago Public Schools students to the Field Museum for the second annual STEAM Fest. NASCAR drivers, industry experts and NASCAR representatives joined students from 46 STEAM and STEM schools to assist in a design challenge.

The NASCAR Chicago Street Race provided Chicago Public Schools students an engaging opportunity to incorporate NASCAR into STEAM Curriculum. NASCAR hosted 500 students at the Field Museum, alongside NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suarez and Team Trackhouse.

REIMAGINE STEM
NASCAR Chicago joined the CPS Department of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) at the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) for a day of reimagining STEM for students and their families. This intergenerational STEM expereicne let families put their creativity and curiostity to the test by exploring CPS math and science curriculum, programming robots, experiencing E-Sports, participating in a design challenge, and more. Students and families had an opportunity to take a photo with the 2023 Chicago Street Race trophy as well.

WENDELL SMITH ELEMENTARY STEAM NIGHT
The NASCAR Chicago team joined staff, students, parents, and the community at Wendell Smith Elementary in Pullman to participate in various STEAM activities (i.e. making ice cream, programming robots, using a 3D printer, building a tower, and creating race-inspired art), while illuminating possible STEAM career opportunities within the motorsports industry.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH
Chicago Public Schools held a series of Back-to-School Fairs in various neighborhoods to provide children and families with backpacks, immunizations, groceries and a fun-filled day! The NASCAR Chicago team was thrilled to join these important initiatives, bringing with a pace car, remote controlled car course, and giveaways at various locations, including:
Chicago Vocational Career Academy, Crane High School, Dunbar Vocational Academy, Christian Fenger High School, Eugene Field Elementary School, William P. Nixon Elementary School, George Westinghouse College Prep, Peterson Elementary School, Washington Park, Columbus Park, Harrison Park, Winnemac Park, and Marquette Park.
